The Nightmare before Christmas: Christmas Scented Candles

‘Tis the season of breathing fragrance air everywhere you go 🥴

Family’s homes, friend’s homes, malls, stores, hotels, etc. are all pumping the Super Sugar Spice Gingerbread scented candles at this time of year, and I’m getting a headache just thinking about it.

Although this post is directed mostly at the Christmas scents we’re being exposed to around the clock during the holiday season, people are still burning scented candles in their homes 24/7, year-round.

It begs the question…

Do you really have chronic migraines, or do you just have chronic fragrance exposure?

Do you really have chronic allergies, or do you just have glade plug-ins?

Do you really have chronic fatigue and drowsiness, or do you burn scented candles frequently in your home?

Don’t forget that fragrance of ANY KIND (not just from candles), is extremely harmful and should be avoided as much as possible.

Fragrance is also found in:

⭒ Laundry detergent

⭒ All laundry products, really

⭒ Perfume/cologne

⭒ Dish soap

⭒ Hand soap

⭒ Body soap

⭒ Tampons

⭒ Lotion

⭒ Personal care products

⭒ & the list goes on

Listen to Season 2 of the Wild + Well-Fed Podcast, where we’ll be covering how to create a healing environment, and why living in a non-toxic environment (as much as you can) is so important!
